I lay there in the same hospital bed.
It must have been weeks now, maybe months.
"You are so strong" Dad said flatly.
I coughed, "Not for long" I mumbled.
"Hello, Henry" Dad greeted himas he came in.
Henry nodded, "Can i speak to Leah alone?" He looked grim.
"Sure" Dad looked curious, but he left.
I looked up at him, i couldn't be bothered speaking.
"You aren't getting better" He said.
"I know, stop reminding me!" I said angrily.
"So...you have two choices" He said with a little hope.
"They would be?" I asked, curious.
"One; you keep trying to get better, and risk dying, or Two; I make you a vampire" He said.
"What!?" I was scared.
"I can make you a vampire, because once you change into an imortal, everything that was wrong with you, will be miraculously healed" he smiled at me, showing his fangs.
I thought about it for a long time.
I sighed "Okay, make me a vampire"
This was not what i had planned for my future, not at all.
And to be honest i didn't want to be, but at the same time, everything would be easier.
I guess i had to, if i wanted a future.
"Okay, we will need to wait until it's dark, and the nurses put lights out and then i will sneak in, and.." He trailed off.
I nodded, i must have had a scared look on my face.
"Don't worry, you will be great" he smiled, "The most beautiful and healthy vampire ever, and if you really want to, you can bite Cindy' head off" He laughed.
"I might consider that" I smiled slyly.
"Lights out" The nurse shouted.
The lights went off, most people went to sleep, as i sat there in the dark.
Hospitals are creepy in the dark, they really are.
I coughed up some more blood, this hurt.
I toom a slip of water.
I sighed.
I heard light footsteps on the ground, hopefully it was Henry.
"Little girl" A voice said.
"Oh, god" I muttered.
He heard, "I'm the one who bit your Henry" He said.
"Oh, joy" I didn't care.
"Hmm? this is not fun" He sounded irritated.
"Mmm, how so?" I asked.
"Your going to get bitten tonight, but i want your blood, so i might have to now" He said, he smiled.
"NO" Henry shouted.
"Shh, everyone is sleeping" I said.
henry dug his nails into the man's eyes, blood was all over his hands and the man's face.
I looked away.
I heard a growl, then someone biting something.
Henry had bitten the man.
He shrieked in pain, then fell to the ground.
"What the hell!" I shouted, my voice sounded scared.
"You ready?" He asked.
I gulped, "I guess"
He whispered, "I love you"
I smiled.
His fangs bit deep into my skin, it was only slightly painful.
Not what i expected.
He sucked a little, must have wanted some blood.
Not what i expected, but it felt nice.
He pulled away wiping blood from his mouth.
I felt nothing after that, absolutly nothing.
"Is that it?" I asked.
"What!" Henry shouted, "That's weird"
Just then pain shot through me, I screamed.
I wanted to rip my heart out, it hurt so much.
Henry put his hand over my mouth.
Thank god.
The burning ended.
Everything stopped, Henry removed his hand.
He peered down at me.
"Leah?"
"Yes" I said, my voice sounded different, it was harmonious now.
"Wow" He said, "You are heartbrakingly beautiful"
I felt like i could blush, i wonder if i still could.
"Your blushing, how is that possible?" he said.
I shrugged.
He showed me a mirror, i touched my face.
whoa, i was pretty.
I had never said that about myself, but i was.
I realized i hadn't been breathing, i breathed in.
I didn't need to, but it felt odd not to.
I could smell the wooden floors, i could smell under them, my nose wrinkled in disgust.
"Ew!" I said.
"Yes, it isn't very pleasant" Henry laughed.
I smiled.
I touched my side teeth.
Fangs.
"Cool" I said.
I got out of bed, and touched the table with my pinky, i then pushed ever so slighty, and the table had a huge dent.
I laughed.
"Neat, huh?" He asked.
"Yes, this is so cool" I muttered.
How was my dad going to react.
"What about my dad?" I asked.
"You look the same, don't worry, and remember you have been sick, so you will probably just look super healthy" he smiled.
"Thank goodness" i grinned at him.
Everthing was so new, the world is amazing in a vampire's eyes.

A group of WHAT!?
"Are you sure you don't want me to come with you?" Henry asked, he sounded so paniced.
"Yes, It's just the dandi-Nongs, What could go wrong?" I smiled, trying to ease his tension.
"Okay, I might keep close though..." He trailed off, "Just in case" He added.
"Deal" I said, then went to my locker.
I was going away to the Dandi-Nongs, this Saturday. My dad had planned it, he wanted to get me out of the house, he said, qoate "I want to spend more time with you, your growing up so fast". Secretly meaning, "You don't get out enough, so I'm taking you out against your will".
Henry walked me home, he didn't mind walking at my pace.
"What did you mean when you said, 'You'll keep close?" I asked casualy.
He caught on, "Oh, not like walking behind you" He laughed "I mean, I'll be about, and your dad won't have a clue" He smiled, clearly answering my second question.
I stopped, he turned at the exact time, Him and his magical powers. I must admit i was jealous, but i suppose they did come in handy.
"What's wrong?" He asked, suddenly worried.
I pulled him towards me by his t-shirt, he caught on, again.
Our lips met, it was a short but sweet kiss.
"I feel better now" I muttered.
He laughed.
I forgot about his super hearing.
That saturday i had a nice long shower, and got dressed into a pretty skirt and top.
"You look nice" Dad said at the door.
"Thanks, next time knock" I added.
He tryed to hide a smile, "Okay, sweetie , we should leave soon, maybe 10 minutes?" He muttered.
"Sure thing, Daddio" I smiled.
He walked away.
I clambered into the car, and pulled my skirt down, it was one of the ones that goes up when you sit down. Grr, maybe a bad idea to wear it, but what could i do now.
Dad drove off, and i noticed a taxie not far behind us, i peered in my side mirror, i saw a familiar smile. Henry.
I giggled slightly.
"What?" Dad asked.
"Oh, uhmm...I'm excited" I lied, even though i was.
He smiled to himself.
Once we arrived we got lunch in a nice little cafe, we talked about anything and everything.
It had been a while since we had, It felt nice.
We then walked around for a bit, and dad wanted to go to a car store, so i said i would go to the river, and sit for a while.
"You sure?" He asked.
"yes, I'll probably just sketch some things" I shrugged.
"Okay, pumpkin" He wandered off.
I walked the opposite way.
I sat and sketched for a while.
I heard a rustle in the tree next to me, i looked up.
Nothing.
I went back to drawing.
Another movement, but this time it was on the ground.
I looked around.

"Dad?" I asked, my voice sounded scared.
And another rustle, and a hissing noise, then a growl, i turned as i faced my nightmare.
A female vampire stood there, fangs bared at me.
"Oh, my god" i said high pitched.
she smiled evily.
Two more vampires appeared, one female and the other male.
"Do you know how good you smell..." The male said.
"Considering we haven't eaten for..." The female trailed off.
"Two days" The main female finished.
That was just weird, they were finishing each others sentences.
The female in 'Charge' lunged at me, smashing me to the ground.
Owch, that hurt, i tryed to scramble away.
One grabbed my leg, "You ain't going nowhere" He said.
I screamed, "Henry!" I called.
The female covered my mouth, and moved my hair out of the way.
The one in charge moved over to my neck, and within a second, without hesitation, she bit.
I felt her fangs deep inside me, i wanted to scream, and rip my throught out, it was so painful.
Blackout.
Someone was shaking me after that, i blinked, "Henry?" I asked, i sounded zoned out.
"Yes" He said, "I'm here, are you?"
"I wish i wasn't, im in so much pain" I sat up, and felt sick.
I turned to the side, and threw up everywhere.
I turned back to Henry, feeling embarassed as my cheeks felt hot.
"Lets get you to hospital" He said, then kissed my cheek.
I lay in the hospital bed for quite some time, then sleep took me.
I woke the next day with sun in my eyes, i felt sick again.
I turned to a bucket and threw up in it, i did this 4 times, then got a nurse.
"How sick am I?" I asked.
"Very, it's going to get worse before it gets better" She said, then walked away to get a doctor.
That must have been an infetious vampire bite. eww.
Henry walked in, "Leah!?" He asked, as if it was unbelievable i was alive.
I vomited in the bucket again.
I felt awful.
"What's wrong with me?" I asked.
Before he could speak, something clicked in my head.
"Wait!" I shouted, "Shouldn't i be like you now?" I asked.
"Thats the thing, they weren't normal vampire's, they were Kilnolious vampires" He said, looking sadly at me.
"Which means?" I coughed, blood was in the cough.
I gasped, "Blood"
He shrugged, "Im okay with it"
"What does it mean, 'Kilnolious Vampires'?" I asked, really curious.
"They bite, like any other vampire, and they kill them, but if they are stopped mid bite, it spreads a bacteria into your system, and then eventually if not treated right it can kill you, but you will be fine, it just spreads and gets worse, but then it starts getting better" He smiled in a sad way.
"Fuck off" I said, then turned away from him.
"What?" He looked astonished.
"You heard me, you could have stopped this, you could have told me not to go" I said.
"Leah, I'm not leaving your side, I know your angry, but you will be fine" He said.
"Im sorry" I said, "I didn't mean it"
He kissed me, after giving me a breath mint, i mean i had been vomiting all day.
I had never felt so lost and sad in my life, not even when Henry left.
I could die.
"Am I going to die?" I asked Henry.
"Noway" He said.
"Promise?" I muttered.
"I do" He said, then smiled.
He kissed my forehead and sat next to me.
Over the weeks, i got worse and worse, i lost my voive, i vomited now and then, some of my limbs were numb, and i drifted in and out of sleep. I had headaches all the time.
"I love you" Henry said, while crying that night.
I mouthed 'I love you' Back, then looked questioningly at him.
He shook his head.
I looked angrily at him.
"Okay, They say your not getting better" He bawled.
I started crying.
I was going to die.

I just ran into you.
I was running home from school, I hated staying after school on friday and talking to people...unless it was Henry.
The only problem was that i had't seem him for 2 months. Were we still together? Probably not.
Was i ever going to see him again? Probably not. Was i going to be a loner? Probably.
The only possitive thing was, that my body and face had healed and i was back to the normal me. Except i was lonely. Henry made me feel warm, even thhough he was ice cold.
He kept me safe, even though somewhere deep inside of him, something evil wanted to kill me. I was okay with that though. I love him. Well lov-ed him, im not so sure anymore.
One single tear poured down my cheek, i wiped it away fast, i had to move on, he was not going to keep me under a shaddow of pain and sorrow. I would move on. And i will.
That saturday my phone rang, my heart stopped, it did so whenever my phone rang. I guess i always had a slight hope that it might be him calling. It never was.
"Hey, Wanna come out for lunch with me, and a few friends?" Marcy asked, i could tell she was smiling.
"Sure" I said.
"Okay, meet me at 'The Little Cafe', in...15 minutes?" She asked.
"Yep" I nodded slightly to myself.
We hung up.
I put on jeans and a T-shirt, ruffled my hair, and set off for 'The Little Cafe'.
Marcy waved at me, beside her stood two girls, they were taller than us, but most people were.
I sighed, how was i going to survive meeting new people.
"Hi, I'm Lissa" The smaller of the two said, she had golden curls, that stopped at her shoulders.
I smiled, "Leah"
"Hello there, I'm Natalie" The tallest one said, she was pretty and had a big grin on her face. Her hair was a really nice shade of red with was in plats.
I smiled, "Lea- I just said it, sorry, memory like a gold-fish"
Natalie laughed, "Your funny"
"And pretty" Lissa said.
I shook my head, they laughed.
We ate some sandwitches, then walked to Marcy's. SHe insited we went to her house to watch a movie.
I liked the girls, they were nice, a lot like Marcy.
"Do you go to our school?" I asked quietly.
"Yes, but we are in completly opposite classes" Natalie said.
"Which is a shame, because you two are both very nice, and it would be good to have a chat with you in class" Lissa said, then giggled.
I half-smiled.

I was almost at the end of the ally way, when i ran straight into someone...or something, it was hard as rock.

I moved to the side, and started walking again, as i was walking away i heard a familiar voice.

I turned, my eyes almost popping out of my head.
They snickered, "Leah?" They were making sure it was me.
"Yes" I said, "Henry?"
He was suddenly right before me, "Yes"
I wanted to hug him, but i remembered. We weren't together.
"Bye now" I said, then started walking away.
I turned and left the ally way, i heard footsteps behind me, even though they were quiet as a mouse.
"Why are you following me?" I asked loudly.
"Oh, umm..." He stuttered, "Could you hear me!?" he seemed shocked.
"Yes" I said happily.
I turned around, "What is it?"
"I thought you would have said more than 'yes', and 'bye', thats all" He blurted out.
"Nope, i mean...we aren't really...anything, there is nothing to our relationship..." I trailed off.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN!?" He yelled.
I backed away, "You left me" Tears started over flowing my cheeks, crap. I held my breath to make them stop.
He obviously noticed i was crying, "Im so sorry, i had to...there was so much blood!" He said, feeling guilty.
"For so long" I choked.
"Yes, or i would have killed you" He snapped.
"Well, i wouldn't have cared" I said, i was being stubborn.
"I would have, because..." he trailed off.
"Bye" I went to walk away.
"So that's it?" He asked after me.
"Maybe" I said sneekly, "You do have all the time in the world, right?"
I could tell he was curious, "What on earth are you on about, are you drunk?"
"Forget it" I walked away.
I walked fast, he ended up beside me, "What?" He asked.

"Uhmm...sorry, i must have left it at Marcy's" I said in a small voice.
"AND WHO IS THIS!?" He jabbed a finger in Henry's direction.
I hesitated, "This is Henry" I stuttered, i wasn't sure wither to say Boyfriend, so i left it.
"Nice to meet you, maybe this wasn't the best time, but it is nice to meet you, im her boyfriend" Henry said.
"Oh, Hello, Leah. IN THE CAR!" He shouted at me.
I went into the car without a sound, i smiled at Henry, he smiled back.

"Henry, he seemed nice, were you having fun?" Dad asked.

We ended it at that, thank the lord himself.
Everything seemed to be back in order, for now.

The end and the begining of complete loneliness.
Oh, I was happy.
Henry held my hand while walking, even though his hand was cold i didn't care, I loved him.
He opened his mouth to speak, i was waiting for something special, then my face dropped, "What do we have today?" He asked.
I sighed, then shrugged, "Maths, English, Art, Science"
He nodded.
Everything went silent, i turned to look at CIndy, she had a glare on her face, then once i turned my head around again i smacked into a tree.
"Owch" i rubbed my nose, i noticed blood on my hand.
Henry pulled away from my hand, and held his breath.
The pain in my nose was excrushiating, it was worse than spliting your knee open, which i've done 3 times.
Why was I so uncowardinated!?
I ran to the nurse, i must have looked stupid, but blood was going everywhere.
After she helped me clean it up, i smiled pleasantly then left quickly.
I walked out of school and sat on the steps outside, just my luck.
How could i go out with a vampire, when i was always bleeding?
Henry sat next to me, "Sorry" He said.
"No, Im sorry, How did you manage to..." my voice went into a whisper, "To not drink the rest of my blood?" I asked.
"I just held my breath, because you mean a lot to me, and i don't want you dead" he said softly.
I half-smiled, "Thanks"
"For what?" He asked.
"Not killing me" I laughed.
At recess I was thinking aout vampires again, What would happen if i became a vampire, would i be a danger to my family?
I couldn't think straight.
Henry came over and kissed me, i kissed back.
~1 months later~
Henry picked me up to go to the school prom, i was wearing a nice black dress, my hair was straight, it felt odd, because my hair was never straight.
"You look beautiful" Henry said, "Heartbreakingly beautiful"
"Thanks" I felt my face get hot.
He stroked my cheek, and i blushed.
"You blush so much, it's really cute" He smiled.
I smiled back, feeling very embarassed.
Once we arrived we sat at the back of the place, on a balcony.
It was cold, so he tried not to touch me to much.
He sniffed in deep, then hissed.
"What?" I asked worridly.
He put his finger to my lips, and sniffed again.
I looked at him curiously.
"Vampire" He hissed through his teeth.
I felt suddenly very frightened, "How many?"
stupid question, obviously there wasn't just him and the one that bit him.
"A hell of a lot, looks like 2 coming this way" He said urgently, "I'll go and...investigate"
"No, you might get hurt" I said.
"I have to, or...you could get hurt" He said angrily.
"Me?" I said in a tiny high pitched voice.
He nodded, then jumped of the balcony, i watched him go. He managed to do it so gracefuly.
I heard footsteps behind me, probably Cindy and her friends.
I looked around, it was.
I bit my lip, "what now?" I asked shyly.
"We wanted to teach you a leason" Tanya said.
I looked questioningly at them.
"About not being somewhere alone" Bianca added.
Oh, no. They were going to hurt me, physicaly.
I gasped.
Cindy walked forward, and slapped me in the face. I didn't want to fight back, because then i would get in trouble.
My head swung to the side, then Tanya kicked my stomach, i was winded.
I fell to the ground, and stopped breathing.
Bianca kicked me in the ribs 3 times. Something cracked.
I screamed in pain, "Stop!"
"No" Cindy said.
She punched my eye, and nose.
I felt blood trickle down my cheek as Tanya dug her nails into my skin and scratched.
I lay there limp, i was in to much pain to do anything.
My eye was going to be black tomorrow. If i survived, and my nose was bleeding again, my cheek was gushing with blood. My ribs were in agony, my stomach was brusied, my head killed.
It was hard to breath, i think one of my ribs was out of place.
They all walked away, and i breathed in and out unevenly.
I heard a deep growl, as Henry, well i hope Henry returned.
"To much blood" He said through his teeth.
I gasped.
Henry kneeled beside me, he kised my forhead, then he smelt the blood from my nose and cheek. He got closer breathing in deeply.
"Your blood smell so good" He tryed to fight against the urge.
My eyes rolled, i kept them looking at him.
"Help me" I gasped, "I can't breath"
He nodded, and called 999.
I heard the ambulance coming far in the distance.
The urge took over Henry, "I'm sorry Leah" He said, then his eyes changed, then went evil.
He bent down over my neck, and before he could bite, someone called from the door.
"Get me a stretcher"
Henry stopped, and backed into a corner, then vanished.
Everything went black.
I'm dead, I'm dead. Am I dead?
My eyes opened, it was morning. I was lying in a hospital bed. There was flowers for me, i bent over to read the card:
Sorry Leah,
I love you, but i might not be able to see you for a little while.
I'm still beating myself up about what happened, I'm so unbelievably sorry.

Dad rubbed my shoulder, "It will get better" He soothed.
"I miss henry, but he had to go somewhere" I said, more tears poured over.
"He saved you" Dad said.
